Michigan is home to more than 11,000 lakes. With that much water there’s no wonder it’s one of the best states in the US to take on a triathlon. Renowned for beautiful coastlines and stunning landscapes taking on a Triathlon in Michigan will be something to remember. The mix of swimming, cycling and running has been growing in popularity across the USA and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Wherever you are on your triathlon journey you’ll find the right challenge in the Great Lakes state. With events throughout the year of all standard distances from short and sharp Super Sprint distance, Sprint distance or Olympic triathlon, to more challenging 70.3 or ironman/full distance races. Most triathlons in Michigan make the most of the beautiful lake swimming but if it’s city scapes you’re after you can find those too in the likes of Detroit and Kalamazoo.
