Join the excitement of the 44th Iroquois Hill Runners Thanksgiving Day Run on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in beautiful Louisville, Jefferson! This cherished local tradition invites participants to kick off their Thanksgiving celebrations with a choice of three invigorating race options: a challenging 5 Mile Run at 9:00 AM, a festive 5K with Stuffing Run/Walk starting at 9:05 AM, and a family-friendly 1.25 Mile Run/Walk at 9:10 AM. Set against the scenic backdrop of Iroquois Park, runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to don their most creative costumes, with prizes for the best outfits!
Participants can look forward to awards and prizes, including cash awards for the top male and female finishers in both the 5 Mile and 5K events, as well as age group awards and fun giveaways. Each participant will receive a high-quality long sleeve shirt and the first 1,000 entrants will earn a commemorative medal! With coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and apple cider available, it's the perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit while staying active. RACE SWAG
Each Entrant will receive a top-quality long sleeve shirt and entry in drawing. First 1,000 entrants will receive a medal.
ENTRY FEES
* $30 early sign up. Online before October 15th. Register by Oct 15th and pick up early to guarantee shirt size. We cannot guarantee shirt size for race day packet pickup.
* $35 after Oct 15th. Online before Nov 15th.
* $40 after Nov 15th . Online prior to the start of the race.
PACKET PICKUP
Packet pick up is Tuesday & Wednesday (November 26th & 27th) Thanksgiving week at Swag's South End Store. They are open 10 AM-7 PM. Swag's Sport Shoes south end location [https://www.swagssportshoes.com/]. Race Day pickup also available on site for those who can't make it out to Swag's, although early pickup is highly encouraged.
RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP
Race Day Packet Pickup will close 15 minutes before the 5 Miler start at 9:00 AM
PETS
Pets are allowed on the race course. For safety purposes, all pets must be leashed and runners with pets must start at the back of the runners and stay on the right side of the road.
PARKING
There is limited parking available in the Iroquois Amphitheater Lot during the event. Please do not drive or park on grass areas in Iroquois Park.
Overflow parking is available in Colonial Gardens, 818 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214 and DeSales High School, 425 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214, which is a short walk to the Start and Finish Line.
