Get ready for an exciting opportunity for young runners at Kids Run Lansing! From April 14th to May 18th, 2025, this engaging and FREE after-school running program will take place in Lansing, Ingham. Designed specifically for elementary school students, Kids Run Lansing aims to instill the foundations of running and foster a lifelong love for fitness among children.
Held at participating Lansing School District elementary schools, the program will run every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for an hour after school, complete with a snack to keep the energy up! Under the guidance of Certified Good Form Running Coaches, kids will learn proper running techniques and participate in the Playmakers Kid's Running Club curriculum. The excitement culminates in a fun-filled 2-mile finale run, allowing participants to showcase their skills and celebrate their achievements. Parents are reminded that pick-up is required. Organiser's Description
Kids Run Lansing is a FREE after school running program designed to teach kids the foundations of running with Good Form and build a life long love of the sport and fitness. The Playmakers Fitness Foundation, in collaboration with the Lansing School District, will run this program at participating Lansing School District elementary schools.
The program will run for one hour after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - a snack will be provided.
PARENT PICK UP IS REQUIRED.
Kids will be coached in running and proper form through Playmakers' Kid's Running Club curriculum by Certified Good Form Running Coaches. By the end of the program, all kids will complete a 2 mile fun run finale!
