Organiser's Description
The DSF Athletic Booster Club presents The Maverick Miles! The Maverick Miles includes a 5K, 1 mile Fun Run and, new this year: an Anything-But-a-Baton Relay. This is an annual fundraiser to benefit the athletic programs at Douglas Freeman High School. All parts of the race are open to everyone, including community members. The Fun Run will begin at 9am on the track at Freeman followed by the 5K and then the Anything-But-a-Baton Relay. All proceeds from the race directly fund student athletic needs such as facilities, equipment, and uniforms.

The 5k immediately follows the 1 Mile Fun Run which begins at 9:00 a.m. Check in by the track, and move to the nearby start line. Please see map of the race route. Race Day registration will be online only, no cash or check accepted. -
