Starting and finishing at Children's Mercy Park, the course will take you on a scenic loop around the Kansas Speedway, creating an exhilarating atmosphere for runners and spectators alike. As a tribute to Nolan’s passion for sports, proceeds from this event will support the Nolan Davidson Foundation, which collaborates with KC Fusion Soccer Club to provide youth soccer scholarships, ensuring that the joy of soccer is accessible to all. All registered participants will receive a complimentary Nolan Davidson Champion's Run t-shirt, and every finisher will take home a custom race medal. Organiser's Description
The name NOLAN means "champion" and the Nolan Davidson Champion's Run is an inaugural race established to celebrate Nolan Davidson and the spirit of competition and determination in which he lived his life. On December 7th 2023, Nolan tragically passed away from injuries sustained from a drunk driving accident. Nolan's love for sports and compassion for others left a lasting impact on his school community and the Kansas City youth soccer community.
One of Nolan's biggest passions in life was his KC Fusion soccer team. Proceeds from the race will go towards the Nolan Davidson Foundation, which will be partnering with KC Fusion Soccer Club to provide youth soccer scholarships. We are excited for the opportunity to be able to have a direct and positive impact by supporting the next generation of soccer players and helping make the sport more accessible to everyone.
This family friendly event will offer an opportunity for all ability levels with a 5k, 10k, and 1.10 mile run. Bring your family, friends, and teammates out to join us in celebrating Nolan Davidson.
