Registration is just $25, which includes a stylish event t-shirt and a swag bag, while kids 12 and under can join in for free!
Not only will you enjoy a scenic walk with your pooch, but you’ll also have the chance to indulge in delicious food from Fats BBQ, Floyd's Snack Shack, and SnoBiz. Don’t forget to treat your pup to some doggie ice cream from Salty Paws! Explore vendor booths featuring a variety of goods and services, and check out the adoption table hosted by the Blount County Animal Center to meet some adorable dogs looking for their forever homes. JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST ANNUAL STRUT YOUR MUTT 2K/5K WALKATHON!
10 AM ON MAY 3, 2025 AT SPRINGBROOK PARK PAVILION
Pet owners, animal welfare advocates, and people just searching for a fun family-friendly time are invited to attend. You do not need to be a dog owner to participate, but if you are, bring your well-behaved furry friend along for the fun.
Registration is $25, which includes an event t-shirt and swag bag. Kids 12 and under are free. Make sure to get your friends and family to contribute to the walkathon just click on DONATE at the top of the page, then click on BECOME A FUNDRAISER in the drop-down menu.
Fats BBQ, Floyd's Snack Shack, and SnoBiz will be on hand with tasty treats for humans, while Salty Paws will have doggie ice cream and treats for your furry friends. Vendors will offer a variety of goods and services, and Blount County Animal Center will have an adoption table and some our favorite dogs available for adoption.
We are grateful to Tim Ivens Realty & Development and Independence Title, and Crikett Lane Pet Boarding & Daycare and High Priestess Tattoo, for sponsoring our event at the platinum and gold levels.
Proceeds from Strut Your Mutt benefit Friends of the Blount County Animal Center, a 501(c)3 charitable organization that provides all funding for medicines, veterinary staff and services to the center.
RULES
You are solely responsible for your pet's behavior and agree to carefully monitor and control it at all times.
Your pet must be either on a leash, not exceeding 6 in length or in a suitable harness/containment system. RETRACTABLE LEASHES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
You must clean up after your pet.
You must report any incidents that may result in injury to the walker or pet to event volunteers immediately.
Your pet must be current on all vaccinations and to your knowledge be free of any contagious diseases or conditions.
Your pet cannot be aggressive, in heat, or deemed to be dangerous or potentially dangerous in the past. Event organizers, in their discretion, reserve the right to refuse admittance to or eject any unruly, aggressive, unsuitable, or obviously ill pet.
