Organiser's Description
Lets keep the bark party going! The [Un]leash the Fun 5k run and 2k walk was a success last year so lets do it again. The dog park is up and running! I hope everyone has a chance to go let their pups run free. This race will add benches and other accessories to the park and help with maintenance. Of course, we also want to raise awareness about canine chronic kidney disease. Beau was only 5 years old when he lost his life to kidney disease which broke the hearts of all who knew him. Chronic kidney disease is one of the leading causes of death in dogs. While there is no cure, early detection is paramount in treating the disease and lengthening your dogs life. All proceeds from the race go directly to the dog park and signage about Beau's story. THE RACE WILL START AT DUNCANSVILLE MEMORIAL PARK AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE BOROUGH. IF YOU ARE WALKING, PLEASE BRING YOUR PUP! IF YOU ARE RUNNING, PLEASE LEAVE THEM WITH A FRIEND SO THEY CAN CHEER YOU ON FROM THE SIDELINES!

If you are walking, you are welcome to bring your canine friend! Please be responsible about bringing your dog. We hope to have a lot of people here for the event, and we don't want anyone/pup too stressed out.
