Organiser's Description

Supporting the work of Caudwell Youth, this event is a 5k your way, which is exactly that, walk, run, skate, cycle as you wish.
Registration starts from 10:15 AM – 11:00 AM.
5K starts from 11:00 AM in groups 10 minutes apart.

We support at-risk young people aged 11 to 24 through person-centred volunteer mentoring for up to two years. We support 4 primary needs for mental health, care experience, at risk of exploitation and at risk or involved in offending behaviour.

About the venue:

Willen Lake, Postcode: MK15 0DS in Milton Keynes have kindly let us use their beautiful park to host this event. The route is 100% paved and we’d recommend appropriate footwear for road running.

Toilets are available at the venue along with a café.

Course Details

A fantastic course running around the beautiful Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. Largely flat with a slight include towards the end of the race, the route takes you around the lake, over bridges, past the Milton Keynes Peace Pagoda and through nature. A great run, walk or cycle for all the family.

How to Get There

By Car: Use the postcode MK15 0DS in your Sat Nav.
If you are on the M1, exit at Junction 14 and follow the signs to Central Milton Keynes until you pick-up the signs for Willen Lake.

By Bus: Catch the number 8 bus from Milton Keynes town centre to 'Woolstone Roundabout West'.
Walking down from the bus stop, take the first right at the redway junction under the main road, then take your first left into Willen Lake.

By Train: Direct trains to Milton Keynes Central run from London Euston and Birmingham. From Milton Keynes Central, it's approximately 50 minutes walk or 12 minutes cycle. Alternatively, you can catch a bus or take a taxi.

Parking

We recommend using the Willen Lake car parks A or B. There is a fee for parking and these are pay and display carparks. We encourage participants to lift share where possible

The start line will be at the triangle lawn opposite the observation wheel at Willen Lake.
