How long does it take to run 10K?
The average 10k finishing time is just under an hour, with a sub 40-minute finish considered to be a speedy race. 10k is the equivalent of 6.2 miles which makes it an ideal distance choice for beginners looking to enjoy their first race as well as the perfect event to chase PB’s for experienced runners. The current fastest 10k record is 26:44 which was set 2010 - get out there and get after your own record!

10k races are hugely popular with plenty of events all over the country as well as big events in major cities and regions including the north-west, west midlands and south-east of England.
