Several other people are visible in the background. A group of runners participate in a road race in a residential area. The runners, wearing numbered bibs and various brightly colored athletic gear, move forward under the sunlight. Trees and houses line the street, with more runners visible in the background. A woman wearing a bright orange tank top, black capri leggings, and a black cap with bib number 93 is running on a shaded road surrounded by greenery. She is smiling and has both hands up, seemingly waving or showing ten fingers. Four runners are participating in a race on a sunlit, winding road flanked by lush green trees and bushes. Three runners are in the foreground, wearing numbered bibs 47, 58, and 5, while a fourth runner is farther down the road. The scene is serene and vibrant. Three women participants with bib numbers 27, 67, and 68 are running and smiling in an outdoor race on a sunny day. They are wearing athletic gear and passing by green bushes along the roadside. The woman on the left is waving while running. A group of runners race on a sunlit road surrounded by lush greenery. The leading runner wears a red shirt and is followed closely by others in athletic attire. The bright, clear weather casts shadows and highlights the vibrant outdoor setting. A woman participating in a road race wears a sports bra and shorts. She has a race bib with the number 9 pinned to her top and is running on a sunlit, tree-lined path. A man wearing a white and blue cap, green sunglasses, and a hydration pack smiles while holding a drink. He stands under a canopy outdoors. In the background, another person in blue activewear is looking down, and lush greenery surrounds them. A large group of runners, many wearing numbered bibs, participate in a race on a paved road bordered by trees. A man in a red and yellow shirt rides a bicycle at the front, leading the runners. It appears to be a sunny day with clear, vibrant surroundings.

Organiser's Description

Welcome to the Battlefield run 2026…

An amazing well known popular run with fabulous history. A great event to test your run legs, the course feels predominantly down hill for the most part. But don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten to include the infamous Haselbech hill just to give you a chance to recover from all that speed.

The event is suitable for beginners and advanced athletes with two distance options. A single loop 10k option and a Two loop half marathon option for those who want a little more.

The route takes you from the beautiful village of Naseby out on to some of the quietest picturesque roads with rolling hills and stunning views. The Northamptonshire countryside really is quite stunning.

The start and finish will be at Naseby Village Hall where you will be welcomed with open arms and smiles by our wonderful team of marshals.

A great event. Wife and I did the 10 km run. Lots of comments about Haselbech Hill - whilst it was a challenge not nearly as bad as had been made out. It was well organised and the people taking part really lovely. My wife struggled towards the end but was helped 'over the line' by other runners. Recommend to all. If you're worried about the hill have a recce before race day. Chris

Great event! 2 laps of a lovely course for the half marathon - the description of it feeling mostly downhill though is a lie 🤣🤣 the second half is really tough! Lovely supportive marshals and a really nice friendly field. Low key, well organised, nice variety in the field from super fast to newer runners and everyone felt supported. Helped that we had a glorious late summer morning too - perfect day for it! Will be back - really enjoyable (except the mega hill on lap 2!)

A new favourite half marathon for me, well organised and beautiful course, if a little more hilly than advertised 🤣 I went off a little too enthusiastically & was chuffed with my pace for a lot of it but no h/m pb so I will definitely be back to go for it again 😆

The race was well organised and well described, but maybe predominantly downhill is optimistic!! But as a 71 year old novice (started running a year ago) I found this a great first organised run to participate in. Lovely course, great scenery, and surprisingly a new PR for this distance, so the good runners pulled me along at the back! What a friendly event, has inspired me to book my next event.
