Go Far Fund

We believe that doing stuff makes you happy, and we're on a mission to make it as easy as possible for everyone to discover that.

In 2025, we teamed up with Run The World to launch the Go Far Fund. Our mission: to bring the physical and mental benefits of an active lifestyle to the world.

The fund helps people become more active, with a particular focus on breaking down barriers for disadvantaged and underserved communities. Every year, we award multiple grants of up to £4,000 to grassroots projects doing that work best.

We've seen firsthand the impact that sport and exercise have had on our lives, and we want to make it easier for as many people as possible to experience that.

Movement changes lives

We know it, and science backs it up. More than 30 million adults in England are now hitting the recommended 150 minutes of activity a week, but the headline figure hides a more uneven picture. Just 53.8% of the least affluent adults are active. For disabled adults, it's 49.1%, and for people aged 75 and over, it drops to 44.3%.

These gaps aren't closing on their own. By supporting grassroots projects, we aim to remove barriers and give more people the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of being active.

The Active Ageing Project

Our work so far

We launched at the start of 2025 and were taken aback by the response. We received hundreds of applications from running clubs, disability sports charities, women's groups, LGBTQIA+ communities and inclusion projects from across the UK. It was amazing to hear just how much brilliant work is already happening out there.

We focused on projects where the goals aligned with the fund and where we felt our level of support could make the biggest difference. The six projects we chose were already doing brilliant work, from getting kids with additional needs into mainstream sport to giving trans and queer runners a safe space to train.

We feel very lucky to have supported these projects, and we’re looking forward to what we can do next.

We need your help in finding great projects to support.

You can apply for your own project or one you care about. We award grants of up to £4,000 over 12 months to selected projects each cycle.

Our grants are open to individuals, charities, not-for-profits, and community groups. As long as the goal aligns with our mission to get people active, we want to hear about it.
