This change comes after the success of the UK Triathlon Pink Wave, it reflects the movement towards a more inclusive environment for all participants who want to complete a triathlon at their own speed, whilst raising money for life-saving research.
We want to encourage everyone to have a go! Any age, any ability, just get together for the camaraderie and challenge, whilst raising vital funds for research into beating cancer.

UK Triathlon will be donating £10 from every CRUK Wave entry back to Cancer Research UK.

The event was well organised and instructions clear. Nice bike route which was relatively flat! The ride back to transition was quite hairy with lots of traffic ending up yo and around transition which was scary for a not so confident rider. Other issue was the height restrictions into the car parks which caused several damaged bikes.
Hi Tracey, thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the bike route and found the event well organised. We do have several signs before the carpark and warnings in our race notes to help prevent such incidents but, unfortunately, accidents do happen. Due to the layout of the venue, we aren't able to close the road leading back to the transition area, but, competitor safety is our main priority and so we have multiple marshals positioned along the road to ensure the safety of our participants. We appreciate your understanding and will continue to work on improving the experience for all participants.

One of the best organised events I’ve been to. From the lead up to everything on the day, it all ran seamlessly. Having done other events, this was my first triathlon so I was a little nervous but any questions I had on the day, the organisers & Marshalls had all the answers and were really helpful. The course it’s self is lovely, once out the pool the ride was along some really nice country lanes with hardly any cars the entire 18k route. Then the run down the side of the river was a really nice way to finish. Already tempted to do it again in October. Would recommend to anyway as seemed to be a real mix levels from first timers and seasoned triathletes.
Hi Rory, thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a review. We’re thrilled to hear that you had a great experience at the Stratford Triathlon. We hope to see you again in October!
