This was my 4th time at York triathlon. Great signage to car park, registration, transition and to the pool. Everybody was friendly and helpful. Very compact venue through both transitions, and closed roads on the laps on the bike and run were very welcome. Nice to have age groups go up in every 5 years with prize and goody bag, so many venues go in 10 years up to vet 50s only. Only one negative point, Ha ha, my run was rubbish! Hopefully be there next year.

this was the 3rd time that I have completed the York triathlon. I love it as it is so friendly and well organised. I enjoy the technical cycling course and the fact that it is laps so there is always someone in front and behind you. This is the same with the run which is nice and flat. You are never on your own as you are in some triathlons. Thanks very much for a great morning and I hope to be back next year.

Wonderful event, brilliantly organised and lots of fun. From arrival to leaving everything was run like clockwork, good briefing and excellent marshalls.

Excellent race and very well organised. I would highly recommend this event. Only complaint I have is that there was only 1 toilet that I could find available for competitors. Lots of well hydrated people need somewhere to Wee.

Absolutely amazing, was super nervous about doing the triathlon as I've never done one before, but from start to finish it was absolutely amazing ! Had an absolute beam on my face after the race, was competitive but super fun, everyone had a smile on there face. Can't wait to sign up for next year already, super recommend this event to anyone wanting to get into triathlons. Thank you for such a great event!

An enjoyable day out and a nice race. As with all the times before the organisation, personnel/volunteers and facilities are great. The race briefing was informative and concise with the necessary information imparted in a humorous and memorable manner. This is the fourth time I have done this race. Second time on the new bike course. The weather was great this year - with the usual breeze across the plain of York to keep one entertained! The cycle route is very technical since the new course. I remember the first couple of times it was a more straight forward route round the bottom road. This current route through the residences / buildings with all the corners isn't the quickest and does require some vigilance for road 'furniture'. A nice flat run course with a bit of grass as well as tarmac. The only downside for me is that as a later starter racking the bike is a bit haphazard. No point arriving early as racking more than 30 minutes before swim start isn't allowed. Also, as there aren't numbers to indicate where to rack and which way round to rack you are having to guess whether a space is one you can use or whether its actually where someone who is on their bike leg is going to come back to. That aside it's a great race and I will be back next year.

My son loved the children's event! Very supportive marshalls and organisers. Great that a parent could help in transition. Bike course was the best, purpose built. Tell people no dogs allowed they were all over the place 😡 Some parents need to be more respectful of the marshalls! Make it clear when results will be out, as it said the same day. Adult race, love the idea of 4, 4, 4, 4 lengths swim. Bike route is ace, stops good cyclists getting too much of an advantage. Hope the man who collapsed on the run is okay, marshalls dealt with this well. 👍

Such a fantastic atmosphere Even though in the pouring rain. All the Marshalls so supportive and cheering you on, whatever your standard is, it doesn’t matter. As a mid sixties granny it’s great to have the opportunity to ‘Tri ‘ as it’s a personal challenge just to complete it. Brilliant
