2027 - Fleetwood Spring Triathlon

Fast, Flat, Closed Road for the cycle route and a run along the sea promenade.

Swim: 400M or 16 lengths of a 25m indoor, heated swimming pool.
Tri Star - 50m / 2 lengths
Tri Star1 - 150m / 6 lengths
Tri Star2 - 200m / 8 lengths
Tri Star3 - 300m / 12 lengths

The Bike:Adults – WILL DO FOUR LAPS. Cycle to Sandgate do a U turn come back past the pool to King Edwards Avenue do a U turn to come back past the pool and to Sandgate again. Repeat until you have done FOUR laps to come back to turn left to transition. . See race booklet for Tristart and Tristar laps and distances. This is a closed road event.

Run: With your race number now on your front leave transition on the sea side near the Lifeboat house and turn immediately back on yourself running along the path parallel with the beach, running past the pitch and putt golf course and following this around you will arrive at the inner pathway and a T Junction.

Will run PAST Fairhaven Lake and turn DOWN the ramp at the end of the lake towards the lake side. They will then run UP the ramp by the RSPB hut and back onto the pavement going the back the way they came to the finish line.

Closed road, which is flat and fast along the St Anne's Promenade.
Ideal for first timers or those wanting an early season PB.

What You Will Experience.

1. A Stress-Free Swim Start: Begin your race inside the heated 25m indoor pool at YMCA St Annes. No murky lake waters, cold ocean swells, or wetsuit hassles—just clean, warm waters and clear lane lanes to help you settle into your race rhythm immediately.

2. The Traffic-Free Coastal Bike: Step out of transition straight onto a completely closed-road bike course along South Promenade. With zero vehicle traffic to navigate, you can lock into your pace across 20km of flat, fast asphalt, surrounded by ocean views and cheering crowds along the multi-lap circuit.

3. The Seaside Promenade Run: Cap off your race with a flat 5km run along the sea path past the Pitch & Putt course towards scenic Fairhaven Lake. Take in the fresh salt air as you push down the final stretch toward a roaring finish line crowd and your finisher medal.
