Organiser's Description

The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is back on Sunday 26 May 2024.

The Great Manchester Run is the city’s original and best-loved running event. And in true Mancunian style, it’s a party from start to finish, with a high-energy soundtrack, live music and entertainment zones at every turn – plus, some of the loudest and most enthusiastic local support we’ve seen anywhere in the UK.

Great Manchester Run entries are open to runners aged 15+ (10k) and 17+ (Half marathon) on the day of the event.

Very well organised Half Marathon. Very impressed with the organisation of the Half Marathon, toilets were placed on the way to the start area and didn’t have to queue for long, start area was simply going left or right. The warm up was fun. The entertainment and support the whole way was fantastic! Loved the mist showers and the lead up to the finish gantry was amazing with the disco under the bridge with the smoke to run through to then see the finish line for a short sprint to the end! Had great fun plus also got a pb! Will definitely be back :)

Fantastic, well organised event. I loved this event. It was brilliantly organised and it was such an honour taking part in the event as a runner whereas last year I was a spectator and even then loved every minute of it. It makes me so proud to be Mancunian: the best of humanity is seen at events like this. Cannot wait for next year! May even do the half marathon!
