Great Bristol Half

Organiser's Description

Achieve your half marathon goal this Autumn while enjoying the best of Bristol. Over 10,000 runners every year make this a must-do event, with an atmosphere second to none.

The scenic sea-level course starts and finishes in Bristol's historic Harbourside, taking runners out and back through the stunning Avon Gorge, around the old city, and twice under Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge.

  • Half Marathon Entry 17+ yrs old

The course will take runners under the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge with spectacular views along the Avon Gorge and Bristol Harbourside before entering the city centre.

With an electric atmosphere and music at 10 points along the course as well a cheer point from Children's Hospice South West, your journey to the finish line will be truly special!

We recommend arriving ready to run and leaving any valuables with family or friends. However, if this is not possible participants will be able to leave bags in the baggage-drop area.

Remove the baggage label (which is attached to your run number), fill in the details and secure the label your bag before leaving them in the baggage area.

Great race

If you are thinking of this book IBIS it's on the start line!
The course loops up four miles and back on itself through the city centre.
It's one of the bigger races in the UK and truly humbling to see deaf/blind and wheelchair users participating.
Great crowed support!
Don't forget, travel up to the Clifton Suspension bridge for your photo opportunity.
