Organiser's Description

Join the Keep Attacking Assault Race this September 2025 in Portsmouth – an intense 4 or 8-mile challenge featuring steep inclines, water, and woodland terrain. Hosted by Synergy Success Network & Brian Wood MC.

After the incredible success of April 2025's event, Keep Attacking returns this September 2025 for another round of grit, determination, and raw physical challenge in Seaside City, Portsmouth.

Created by Brian Wood MC, a decorated veteran and endurance ambassador, and hosted by Synergy Success Network, this notorious Assault Race in Portsmouth pushes participants to dig deep and overcome both physical and mental obstacles.

With the choice of a 4-mile or 8-mile course, runners will face: Water Crossings, Steep inclines, Dense Woodland Trails and the kind of atmosphere that drives people to keep attacking, no matter the odds.

Whether you’re a seasoned OCR (obstacle course racing) athlete or just looking for your next tough challenge, this race is for those who refuse to quit. Brian Wood MC will be on-site on the day of the event, to host, motivate, and embody the Keep Attacking spirit—sharing his story and inspiring participants every step of the way.

Course Details

This exhilarating event promises an unforgettable experience as racers navigate a unique 4-mile course that blends the beauty of the Portsmouth shoreline with the rugged terrain of local woodlands. Spanning 4 miles, the race will take participants along the picturesque shoreline of Portsmouth and through scenic woodlands. The route will feature multiple steep inclines, known as the 'Seven Sisters', demanding both stamina and determination as racers push through tough terrain. Expect obstacles and varying surfaces that will require agility and strength.

How to Get There

🚗 By Car:
Anchorage Park is conveniently located at the top of the Eastern Road (A2030) — one of the main routes in and out of Portsmouth. It’s easily accessible from the M27 motorway. Just follow signs for Portsmouth (Eastern Road) and look out for signs to Anchorage Park as you approach the city.

🚆 By Train:
The nearest train station is Hilsea Station, which is just a 10-minute walk from Anchorage Park Community Centre. Regular services run from nearby cities such as Southampton, Brighton, and London. Once you arrive at Hilsea, follow local signage or use your phone’s maps app to walk to the event location. Anchorage Park Community Centre can be found to the left of the Morrisons Superstore just down the road from Hilsea Train Station.

Parking

Free Parking will be at TwistedPair Ltd and Jing Capital (PO3 5QD) across the road from Jetts Gym, Portsmouth. A 5 minute walk from Anchorage Park Community Centre (the Race starting point). As an overflow, Jetts Gym can also be used for Free Parking. Parking Marshals will direct people accordingly. Parking Information will be re-sent to participants closer to event day.

FAQs

  • What should I wear to Race?

    A good pair of running trainers (that you’re not too attached to and don't mind getting dirty!) with good cushioning, traction, and drainage. And light weight, breathable gear (always check the weather and adjust accordingly) And a Tip: remember a change of clothes for afterwards!

  • How Long Will the Race Take?

    The two options for the Adult Races are: 1 Lap of 4 Miles and 2 Laps at 8 Miles. There will be a mix of abilities so there is no target or expectation for time. Take as long as you need to!
