Organiser's Description

We are excited about our 5th Wild Christmas Charity Run! For another year we are pleased to to be supporting the wonderful work of The Hospice of St Francis who will receive all profits from this event.

The run is open to all abilities with a 2km and 8km guided trail run. The family friendly 2km route will have Christmas themed activities on route. The 8km guided run will take in some of the beautiful local trails and our guides will be providing trail running tips and fun local info along the way.

The event is open to everyone, including children and dogs (please see information about canicross harnesses). Choose your ticket accordingly.

Free mince pie and mulled wine with every entry. Prize for best fancy dress! However, fancy dress is optional. The event will finish around midday.

ability

As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and led by one of our experienced Run Leaders. We walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips along the way. First time trail runners welcome! Experienced ones are too as all of our guides will be out on the trails!

We welcome any age children under 16yrs, as long as they are running with an accompanying adult. You can even bring your 4-legged friend, we just ask that all dogs are run in canicross equipment only, and are kept on lead at all times. We also have only a limited number of places for dogs, so please do let us know in the message section of the booking form that you would like to bring a dog. We will not accept dogs being run with a lead attached to their collar (if you have any questions on this, please drop us an email and our resident canicrossers can suggest equipment providers, and even places to try out kit).
