Organiser's Description

Learn how to use running poles efficiently and effectively with this workshop. Led by International Mountain Leader and alpine trail running guide, Simon will be taking you through the fundamentals of using poles so that you are event ready. Whether you are planning a trip to the Alps, racing in the Lake District or looking at a multi-day adventure such as Marathon des Sables this workshop will provide lots of helpful instruction and tips to make sure you are making the most of your running poles.

The event will finish around 11.30am.

How to Get There

You will need to arrange your own transport to the start of the event. The start is 40 minutes walking distance from the station or alternatively there is a taxi rank. There are regular trains from London Euston to Tring Station which take around 40 minutes. Parking is free and there are toilets nearby in Tring town. We recommend arriving already changed given the limited on-site facilities. Accommodation is available nearby, please get in touch if you would like any recommendations.

  • This event is open to all abilities, but you will need your own trail running poles. We do have some you can borrow but these are limited so get in touch if you require them.
