Organiser's Description

This half marathon running adventure based in the Chiltern Hills is a great way to discover what Run the Wild is all about! You will be running a distance of around 13 miles over the stunning undulating chalk hills and through local woods, led by local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders.

It’s an easily accessible event, just 30 minutes North West of London by rail or road. All abilities are catered for. So whether you are a new to trail running, just looking to get some miles in an inspiring location, training for a race, or looking to complete your first trail half, then this is the event for you. Along the way you will experience our famous hospitality and enjoy a well stocked refreshment point just over halfway. The route we follow in the Autumn is slightly different to the Spring edition so you can enjoy both events!

We group runners by ability and include trail running instruction during the event. We walk anything steep and it’s a perfect opportunity to explore the Chilterns, meet the RtW team and experience a running adventure that gives you a taster of our multi-day routes. The event will finish by around 1pm depending on your pace.

We hope to see you there!

Excellent event all round. For my first organised group running event I couldn’t have asked for more. Brilliant group, really helped to learn new running tips and get you through the miles. Great, well stocked hospitality and superbly organised route from a group of experienced, well informed, helpful leaders and fellow runners of all ages and abilities!
Thank you Thomas for your kind review! We're really pleased you enjoyed the event and hope you to welcome you back to future running adventures with us! Best wishes Team RtW
