I have been running on and off for 30 years and over the last 10 years mainly as part of triathlon training. I have got to the place now where hips and knees are slowly giving up and running has slipped down my order of priorities, mainly as I just wasn’t enjoying it anymore. I was essentially getting slower and more fed up with my free falling averages and failing technique! I loved the tagline of RTW, about exploring places not running races, so I entered a 10k, more in hope than expectation. Happy to say it was a total revelation! I think it’s the first time I have properly enjoyed a run for about 10 years. From the moment I arrived, everyone was super friendly and the organisation was unfaffy and relaxed. Our guide Carin was warm, knowledgeable and really easy going, handing out great tips and local history knowledge with an exceptional recall of dates lol!! I have lived and run in Berko for 15 years and had never done the route we did which was fabulous. I genuinely smiled all the way through it, felt fresh at the finish and am so happy to say have rediscovered a new way to fall in love with running again. So nice to find an organised event where the emphasis isn’t on medals and garmin stats and is genuinely about being outdoors, running and smelling the roses. Thanks to all at RTW, you’ve created something fab. Can’t wait to do another, my new goal is to train and do a 30k with you. See you soon.
Dear GG We're so pleased you enjoyed the event, and we're grateful that you have invited us to be part of your running journey! Thank you for the review and hope to see you again soon! Best wishes Team RtW 🤩🤟
