Organiser's Description
Our English Athletics qualified Run Leaders will offer tips on techniques, handle all aspects of navigation, as well as teach you about the local area. Hopefully, we will see some of the wildlife on the route including deer and red kites. We combine both technical single track trails, along with popular local routes, taking in Nature Reserves, and passing through the infamous Wendover Woods.
Along the way you will experience our famous hospitality and enjoy a well stocked refreshment point and be rewarded at the finish with a unique wooden Run the Wild finisher’s medal! The event will finish by around 3pm depending on your pace.
Take on this challenge and give your motivation a boost with this stunning guided trail run of 26.2 miles through the Chiltern Hills.
Course Details
We group participants by ability but you need to be able to run a half marathon distance on the flat in under 2.5 hours. We walk anything too steep and it’s a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way as well as meet other trail runners. Due to the time of year we will be running, trail shoes are an absolute must!
