I did not receive my confirmation email or payment receipt email, what do I do next?

Firstly, check your junk e-mail folder as it is possible that your confirmation email may have landed there. If you still cannot find it, please email [email protected] and we will re-send it to you.

How do I change my personalised bib name?

To update your information, either click on the relevant link in your confirmation email or the link inside the red box in your payment receipt email. This will take you to your account where you can edit your information up until the 11th of December 2019.

Please note that we are unable to process any requests made after this date. Anyone entering the event after this date will have a bib displaying their race number only.

How do I change my t-shirt size?

To update your information, either click on the relevant link in your confirmation email or the link inside the red box in your payment receipt email. This will take you to your account where you can edit your information up until the 11th of December 2019.

How do I change or update the information in my registration?

To update your information, either click on the relevant link in your confirmation email or the link inside the red box in your payment receipt email.

If you would like to update your email address, you must email [email protected] and we will do this for you.

I can no longer take part in the event. What are my options

We are sorry to hear this! Please note that registration fees are non-refundable and you cannot transfer your entry to someone else. Instead, here are your options:

• Change the distance that you have entered into (deadline of 11th December 2019)

Please note that should you wish to change your chosen distance and upgrades, the difference in the amount must be paid. Should you wish to downgrade, the difference in the amount cannot be reimbursed.

• Defer your entry to the following year- for those entered into the Marathon or Half Marathon (deadline of 17th November 2019)

Please email your request to change distance or defer your entry to [email protected] and we will complete this for you.

RACE INFORMATION

What time should I be at the start line?

You should be at the start line at least 30 minutes before your race starts. We will be communicating what time should be at the event venue as well as other useful information like parking areas and road closures etc. in the Runners’ Guide, which will be sent out approximately 1 month before the event.

What is the cut off time for each distance?

6 hours for the Marathon

3 hours for the Half Marathon

2 hours for the 10KM Run

1 hour for the 5KM Run

Can I run with a pram during the race?

Unfortunately it is not possible to run with a pram during the race. The safety of the runners at all times is a priority to us and with this volume of people it is not safe for participants to run with a pram.

RACE PACK COLLECTION

When/where will the Race Pack Collection be?

Runners must collect their Race Pack from the Race Village (Al Mouj Muscat) between the 14th, 15th or 16th January 2020. Final times for Race Pack Collection will be confirmed in the Runner’s Guide, which will be published no later than 1 month before the event.

What will I get in my Race Pack?

Each Race Pack will contain your runner’s bib, baggage tag, event t-shirt and other goodies from selected sponsors and suppliers.

I cannot make the Race Pack Collection dates. What are my options?

Someone else can collect your Race Pack on your behalf, as long as you provide them with a copy of your confirmation email and photo ID.

Can I collect my race pack the morning of the event?

Only international runners, who arrive in to Oman after Race Pack Collection has closed, will be allowed to collect their packs on the morning of the event. This will be between 04:30 – 05:30 on the morning of the 17th and 18th January 2020.

Please email [email protected] by January 7th with a copy of your flight booking and confirmation e-mails so we can plan accordingly.

BAGGAGE DROP OFF

Will there be a Baggage Drop facility?

All runners are able to use the Baggage Drop facility in the Race Village on both race days (Friday 17th & Saturday 18th January 2020) between 05:30 – 12:30.

In your Race Pack there will be a small baggage tag with the same number as your Race Bib. Place this baggage tag on your Race Pack before dropping it off.

Only official Race Packs will be allowed to be dropped at Baggage Drop.

When collecting, make sure you have your Race Bib so our staff can make sure you are given the correct bag

VISA & CURRENCY

Tourist Visas

Tourist visas must be booked online prior to travel. The onsite visa bureau at the airport has a limited service.

Residents of most countries can now apply online for a tourism e-visa. The visa options include 10 days, 30 days or multi-entry.

The process is quick and simple, with the visa usually issued in a day or two. It is the runner’s responsibility to keep up to date with any changes to the visa application process.

The local currency is Omani Rials. The currency is pegged to the USD, offering a stable exchange rate.
