WORK OFF THAT CHRISTMAS PUDDING AND JOIN US FOR THE CCR RUN ON TUESDAY 27th DECEMBER 2022!
Christmas wear is welcome, Christmas tunes will be playing and mince pies will be supplied at the finish line – what more do you need at Christmas time?
This event will take place on Tuesday 27th. This is an ideal venue to chase a fast time as the course is pancake flat and on smooth tarmac. The race will be run under a full UK Athletics License and each course has been officially measured and has a certificate of course accuracy. The race will also be chip timed and results published on Power of 10.
The Open Races will begin at 11:30am, starting with the a 1mile race and 1mile Family Fun Run. If you have entered a race later in the evening you are welcome to join in the Fun Run to encourage family and friends!
After that we’ll be having the Open 5k and 10k race.
With a traffic free, tarmac course with no sharp bends, we are certain that there will be a whole bunch of proud new PB’s! The closed road circuit is perfect for all standards, no matter whether you are chasing a lightening quick time, a beginner or a junior (minimum age requirements detailed below).
There will be a cut off of 75 mins for the Open race, so please choose the distance appropriate for you to complete in that time.

Reviews
Event was fun and well hosted but the course was too long. When they make such a play about PB potential it's a pretty significant own goal to get the length of the overall race wrong. I recorded on 2 separate GPS devices and whilst I expect some discrepancy, we are talking over 300m here. Going by Strava, a lot of runners felt the same. Also, having booked for the event through findarace, I didn't receive any joining instructions and had to make my own enquiries. It was difficult to keep track of how many laps covered because of the distance discrepancy. I'd recommend using the laps function on your watch rather than relying on overall distance (obvs this is not the organisers fault!)
On the positive side, the route is flat, there is good grippy tarmac (even at 2degC. The hosts were lovely and the treats at the end (including a bespoke medal) were really nice. I'd do it again but without the expectation of a PB!
