Mallory Park Junior Triathlon: Where Dreams Take Flight!

At Mallory Park, we believe in nurturing the next generation of triathletes, providing a safe and exhilarating environment for children to discover the thrill of multisport racing. Our traffic-free race circuit sets the stage for an unforgettable experience, whether they're taking their first strokes in open water or aiming for the podium in a professional-level triathlon event.

  ATW are proud to be partnering this event with the Reach charity. Reach supports children with upper limb difference and their families, for life and has done for nearly 50 years. They have 18 volunteer run branches across the UK and one in Ireland who organise meetups and events to keep their community connected all year round. They now support young adults with upper limb difference too. They would be honoured to have you take up this challenge for Reach and will be there, with Paralympian Triathlete Claire Cashmore MBE, to support you on the day.

Race Categories: Join us for races designed for children aged 8-16, ensuring an inclusive and rewarding experience for participants of all ages and abilities. From beginners to seasoned racers, everyone is welcome to take on the challenge and embrace the spirit of triathlon.

Distances (note ages are at 31/12/2026):

- Tristart (8 yrs old): 100m swim - 1.5km bike - 600m run
- Tristar1 (9-10 yrs old): 200m swim - 4km bike - 1200m run
- Tristar2 (11-12 yrs old): 300m swim - 6km bike - 1800m run
- Tristar3 (13-14 yrs old): 500m swim - 8km bike - 2400m run
- Youth (15-16 yrs old): 500m swim - 8km bike - 2400m run

Format: Enjoy an open-water swim followed by a non-drafting bike leg on the smooth racetrack of Mallory Park. The picturesque setting and well-marked course ensure a safe and enjoyable race experience for all participants.

Supporters: Cheer your young athletes as they tackle the course, with both the bike and run lap designed to enable supporters to cheer them multiple times, amplifying the atmosphere and encouragement throughout the race.

Mallory Park Triathlon Weekend: Extend the excitement by getting family and friends to take part in the Reach Family Triathlon before the Children's event, and staying on to cheer on GB's top elites at the British Triathlon Super Series after. On Sunday morning there is an opportunity for the adults to get involved in the Adult Race either solo or teaming up as a relay.

Safety: Rest assured, safety is our top priority. With an open-water swim and non-drafting bike leg on tarmac, we ensure a secure and controlled environment for children to thrive and unleash their full potential.

Route Maps: Explore course maps under the 'Route Maps' menu above, familiarizing yourself with the race course and envisioning the journey to the finish line.

Timetable: Registration will open from 8:30am on Saturday, with racing starting from 10am. Detailed start times will be included in the Athlete race guide issued a week before the event.

Camping: Make a weekend of it, with Camping and food and drink on the Saturday evening.

Please note that dogs are not allowed at Mallory Park (sorry!)

ATW Transfer & Refund Policy

At ATW, we understand that sometimes plans change. While we do not offer refunds or transfers to another person, we provide a hassle-free event transfer option for those unable to attend their booked event. If you are unable to participate in your scheduled event for any reason—including injury, illness, pregnancy, bereavement, or other unforeseen circumstances—you can transfer your entry to any future ATW event. There is no proof required, we trust you!
Even better news, transfers can be made all the way up to 48 hours before your original event date.
