Heading out from Thirsk Racecourse, you’ll be able to designate the first few miles to settling into the ride, and warming up for the lung-busting challenges that are to come. You might think that ‘ay up’ is nothing more than an affectionate greeting in this part of the World, but this phrase also hints at what you’ll be doing in this sportive, as you’ll head up, then up, then up once more on a series of testing hill climbs along the way. Life on the moors is not easy, as undulating terrain pairs with exposed rural roads to make for hard riding. This is one not to miss! 3 routes - Epic, Standard and Short.
