I found this a convenient race with a well-organised event village. However, there are a few points that would make me hesitate to participate in this race again: 1. The timing mats were not fully out after the first lap; this meant we had to veer across the path to record our splits. 2. Being an 8.75-lapped open led to a lot of congestion for slightly faster runners. Almost from the start, I was continually weaving in and out of people, and on many occasions, I got stuck behind groups. Also, there are lots of non-runners trying to enjoy the park, and with no crossing points on multiple occations I nearly ran into dogs, children on bikes, or push chairs. It was impossible to settle into a pace. 3. There is no indication of who is running what lap. Given the cramped looped course, there is no easy way working with other runners. Overall, it felt like a crowded time trial and not a half-marathon. I do think this is the nature of lopped park runs, so any runner should bear this in mind.

Flat surface. Nice vibe. Have to count your laps, without recording it on my Apple Watch, I might have forgotten how many I did. They said to count the number of times you re to water station which is good. There’s toilets also.

Flat and fast course, well organised local race. The 8 laps get a bit monotonous and crowded so... great race if you are after good support and fun local race vibes (your friends and family can see you 8 times!). Faster runners (< 1h30) should be ready to weave and overtake, but the park road is very wide so you can definitely go fast safely. OK for PB hunting. Fast course but crowded. Well organised little event village (plenty of toilets, running kit and coffee) and I loved the sprint finish on the track!

Great event that was well run. Constructive feedback would be to have a bit more available for spectators (more food options perhaps)? But as a running event I can’t fault it in any way!

What a day! Such a good atmosphere at the park from the other runners & the crowd. This was the perfect course for my first half marathon; flat run & a beautiful park🌳🍂 can’t recommend enough!

This was my first ever half-marathon and I was sooo impressed with how the event was organised! From the safety of bag drop, to the great warm up, to the location, everything ran swimmingly. I loved the hype team who really helped keep the energy up throughout the morning. How friendly the team were. The pace of refreshments, and frequency of washrooms around the course. It was exceptionally organised and I can’t wait to do my next one with you. Thank so much

Well staffed, bag drop great, plentiful portaloos. The flat course attracts more serious runners - not as diverse as other halfs. Couldn't hear PA instructions at start. No communal warm up. Pacers for 1.40 and 2.40 only. Biggest complaint was that course ran 0.3 miles long by my watch, which tipped me beyond the time goal I had correctly paced for. I supppse you pick up more distance if you run on the outside of the lap but this seemed excessive. The noticeable camber of the path in one orientation only for that long irritated my IT band on the stabilising leg. The water stations were very efficient but are we really still using plastic bottles in 2024? A) people only take a sip before flinging them across the field B) planet and that. I saw quite a few gel packets on the ground and felt as runners we were not encouraged to be responsible. Results & photos extremely efficient - thank you.

This was a good and well organised half marathon around a very flat and pleasant course in Battersea Park. Everything on the day went very smoothly and the facilities were fine. However the communication before the race could be improved and not left to the last minute.

Superbly organised event, very well marshalled and a friendly vibe. It was a very hot day for September (20c at the start and rising) so the shade from trees on over half the course was very welcome. Flat and fast course although due to the 8.75 laps the faster runners had to weave their through the slower runners. Excellent water station zone and supervised bag drop area. My race entry booked the day before the race (on the findarace website) didn't appear on their system but no problem being issued with my race number and having my details added. Nice medal and post race goodies and water. Recommended.

My first ever running event. All the staff were superb from runthrough and I really felt as though they had a vested interested in the fact that every runner had a good time. Couldn’t rate this event highly enough.

It was a great race. Very well organized. The only little thing: I would have appreciated some water before the race. Anyway, thank you for this event.
