Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running

Inverness, Scottish Highlands

Bught Park, Inverness IV3 5SQ, UK

Sun 3rd October 2021

Organiser's Description

The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon is one of the most beautiful marathons in the World, following a spectacular route alongside Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland.

The route begins in an atmospheric moorland setting and continues through stunning scenery along the shores of Loch Ness, across the River Ness, to finish in the Highland capital of Inverness. And if marathons aren’t your thing, there’s also the Baxters River Ness 10k, 5k and Wee Nessie kids' race.

The area is steeped in history, home to castles, misty mountains and, of course, the Loch Ness Monster. Activities in the Scottish Highlands range from challenging hill walks to kayaking, dolphin spotting boat trips to distillery visits. So with a choice of race distances and a festival atmosphere, this event has something for everyone.
