Starting from the Watersports Centre, all routes head north towards the steady climb of Portsdown Hill, where cyclists will be treated to stunning views as they meander through the picturesque Meon Valley. Experience charming villages and a thrilling descent into the quaint village of Warnford. The return journey to Portsmouth features more beautiful landscapes and follows the serene River Itchen. Cyclists will face one final climb over Portsdown Hill before a triumphant descent back to the venue, where they will be greeted with a well-deserved medal and a refreshing beer! With plenty of excitement for cyclists of all levels, the Bike4Bart Meon Valley is an event not to be missed!
Organiser's Description
The ride back towards Portsmouth snakes past more beautiful places and follows the River Itchen back to its source at New Cheriton. From here you make your way to the final climb of the day back up over Portsdown Hill, and the descent back to the venue, where you will be greeted with a medal and a beer! There is more than enough on the Bike4Bart route to keep all levels of cyclists excited and challenged.
