Organiser's Description
Follow in the footsteps of King Charles after his escape from Worcester in 1651 on “The Monarchs Way”. Enjoy riverside trails on the edge of Historic Winchester and St Catherine's Hill too. Take on the full marathon and you will be rewarded with the splendour of the South Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Event village with refreshments, toilets, and free on-site parking. Fully signposted routes with well-stocked feed stations throughout as well as medical support. Medal and massage at the finish. Dogs welcome.

Course Details
Start and finish in the rural grounds of the IBM Hursley Club where you will find free on-site parking, refreshments and toilets.
Each route option takes in the stunning Monarchs Way where you can follow in the footsteps of King Charles after his escape from Worcester in 1651. The Half marathon will take you also on to the Clarendon & Itchen Way as well as a short section on the Pilgrims way.
Enjoy the outskirts of picturesque Winchester and some lovely riverside trails along to St Catherine’s Hill. Should you want to take on the marathon you will be rewarded with terrific views over the South Downs too from the South Downs Way.
Each walk is suitable for everyone with the right preparation. Walk with family, friends or colleagues and don’t forget to bring your four legged friends too!

Who can take part in the event?
The Breast Walk Ever is open to all everyone! including children. It is suitable for all ages and abilities, and whilst there is no age limit, all participants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Anyone can be affected by breast cancer and anyone can get breast cancer. this walk has been created for all of you.

What support is provided on the route?
At each checkpoint refreshments including hot and cold drinks and snacks are available. Each checkpoint will have toilets and first aid facilities. Checkpoints are marked on the maps. We advise everyone to carry their own lunch, water bottle and personal belongings in a small rucksack. Refills will be available at each checkpoint.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are more than welcome*, however, owners are required to take full responsibility for theirs and we are unable to transfer dogs on the pre-arranged shuttle buses from the finish points. The Breast Walk Ever also reserves the right to not allow your dog if we believe that the Dog is a risk to others safety. *Except dogs which are banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

How much do I have to raise?
We are encouraging all the participants to raise a minimum of £75 in sponsorship. When signing up for the event there will be an option to set up a JustGiving fundraising page. This is the quickest and easiest way to start your fundraising. However, fundraising offline or through other websites, including Facebook, are also absolutely fine ways to fundraise.
