Organiser's Description

Welcome to our event The Plym Challenge with Running Events Devon.

Plym Challenge event starts at Clearbrook Village, our HQ is opposite the village hall.

The route uses Cycle Route 27 which formerly was a railway line, the route is traffic free, but you will share with walkers, runners, cycles & the occasional horse.

This route is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with nature & wildlife also the occasional Peregrine Falcon.

The 5k starts at 10:30, the route heads down from the Start through the tunnel to the turn point and marshal then straight back through the tunnel up to the finish line.

The challenge laps are 10.6k and head down from the Start though the tunnel past Bickleigh to the turn point and marshal then straight back past Bickleigh through the tunnel up to the finish line, at Bickleigh there is an aid station which is available to you twice.

For the half marathon you do 2 complete out and back laps.

For the marathon you do 4 complete out and back laps.

There is a 7 hour cut off from the 8:30 start for you complete your challenge.

Course Details

This route is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with nature & wildlife also the occasional Peregrine Falcon.
These routes are downhill to start with, and uphill on the return.
For this challenge event, you will head down the trail through the tunnel, past our aid station at Bickleigh, to the turn point at 3.3 miles then come back to the Clearbrook aid station, this will be one lap of 6.6 miles.
For a half marathon you will need to do 2 complete laps.
For the marathon you will need to do 4 complete laps.
You decide on the day how far you want to go, whether it is the 1 lap, 2 laps, 3 laps or more is entirely upto you.
There is a 7 hour cut off for you to complete your laps.

What's Included

You will receive final event information 7 days prior to the event.
On the day you will welcomed to collect your number at our HQ, where once the event has started you will find a large selection of savoury and sweet items, along with squash, water and coke. (Our aid station is Nut free)
In the same area you will find our baggage access area, which you can access each lap.
On completing your challenge you will receive the bespoke medal for the event, along with a bottle of water and your goody bag
