Organiser's Description

Join us for a Chasing Numbers midweek run. The aim of our midweek runs is to hold events as cheaply as possible in order for people to be able to build their numbers or simply to help people achieve their own goals at an affordable price.

We will have a selection of medals available to choose from on the day.

The midweek runs are fully flexible with start times available from 7.30am with time to run all the way to 4.00pm! Now that's a FLEXIBLE Friday!

All abilities are welcome at our super-inclusive events and we also welcome walkers too.

Distance & Time: This is a 7hr Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7hr time limit which starts from the official event start time. It is 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra, we also have a 50km distance available.

Course: The course along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is a mixture with approximately 60% of it on a well-made path / tarmac. The remainder is grass and light trail which can get muddy at certain times of the year. Road shoes can be used all year round but if you prefer the extra grip on the trail sections then trail shoes can be worn.

The regular course is subject to some change near the time of the event depending on our health and safety review of the course and council / land owner final approval.

Medals: As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finish and you will receive our fantastic medal.

Goody Bag: Absolutely! You earned the calories after all, so all our finishers get a goody bag. As well as our standard goody bag, with a selection of various goodies to choose from, we also have a fabulous vegan goody bag for our vegan runners.

Distance Pins: We have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement.

Aid Table: We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is a great selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items at the aid table.

Toilets & Changing Facilities: There are toilets and changing / shower facilities available at the race HQ.

Final Instructions / Number pick up: Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 4-5 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event.

Parking: There is a large pay on exit car park at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds, right at the start of the event.

Other Info: There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag and the items cannot be watched at all times so please don't leave anything valuable.

Headphones are allowed.

Our running events are help on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.

The course was out and back, then back again. It was organised on the Friday before a bank Holiday weekend, probably to help the organisers keep costs down. A bit low tech- no bibs or chips, just a reuseable wrist band. No proper start line- just some lady with an iPad who counts you down to start from a small aid station and instructs you about the course. When you finish, she simply stops the clock on her ipad. All good though, worked OK for a 5k. Finishers had the option to pick a medal from a small display stand, which felt like a nice touch. Not all bad after all.

Great race, great atmosphere and even better staff. I broke a Guinness world record here carrying 120lb for half marathon on 2 7th June 2024. Thank you so much to everyone for being so accommodating. I’ll be back.

It was y 3rd half marathon and I did it!! The staff were great, they provided you all details about the route. The landscape is beautiful. The route is indicated, no need navigation. I loved the food and you can choose your medal. I will definitely run with Saturn. Thanks a lot for your support.

Loved it! The Saturn Running team were so friendly and welcoming for my 1st ever marathon. Although there were some muddy patches, the team had made sure to adapt a new course so it wasn't too difficult. They had a place where you could keep bags, use the toilet and stretch. They also had a fantastic table of drinks and snacks to keep you fuelled. The location was perfect for running and I would highly recommend!
