An epic half marathon along The Ridgeway National Trail in Buckinghamshire.

The 9th edition will take place on Sunday 4th July 2027 at 10am.

Starting in Wendover, the route takes runners along a stunning stretch of trail to Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve, where an undulating forest loop awaits.

Course Details

Our route follows a beautiful stretch of The Ridgeway between Coombe Hill in Wendover and Whiteleaf Hill near Princes Risborough - with a loop of the Chiltern Society’s Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve in-between.

The route is entirely off road and will test your strength and stamina as you tackle the numerous ups and downs.

Please note the exact start of the race is subject to change, due to ongoing HS2 works within Wendover. Any change that is made will be minor.

This race is hard. It hurt in a whole load of new interesting ways with lots of short steep climbs and some steep technical descents. The scenery is breathtaking and the organisation is great. The route was exceptionally well marked and although there weren't many aid stations, they were well stocked with gels and drinks. Definitely be back next year.

This was an excellent event, plenty of pre-race information and briefings. Start location was clearly communicated with directions around parking etc. The route its self was beautiful with different type of views and terrains; woodland, grassy fields, moorland and some small amount of tarmac. The views are incredible and well worth a stop break for a quick photo. Plenty of hills, some really tough ones, especially on the way back when you’re tired. Nothing undoable though and plenty of fast, fun downhills to compliment those uphills. All in all, a great race.
