Organiser's Description

A great race on a well established course. Starting with a flat run around the lake and across the dam - the fact that you can see the competition for much of the route means this is a psychologically challenging run! The bike leg around spectacular Rutland scenery is testing, best described as undulating, and well suited to strong bikers. The Rutland Ripple is not the only test of endurance on the course, which offers little in the way of flat, but it does offer good road surfaces. The final run is a straight out and back affair. You can't get lost on this course but you can get very, very tired.
