Course Details

Both the 10k and 5k routes start at the Castle Grounds, Deddington
(OX15 0TP / https://w3w.co/noodle.decently.marker)
There is a short on-road section down Castle Street, Hopcraft Lane and St Thomas Street to Chapmans Lane. Here the routes follow a track through Leadenporch Farm at which point the two routes diverge.

The 5k route turns left and follows a bridleway back to the Clifton Road where it joins the pavement back to deddington and the castle grounds.

The 10k route carries on via a bridleway across Appletree Farm and Manor Farm into the village of Clifton. In the village, you turn left along a short section of pavement before taking a footpath on the left through Home Farm. This takes you back across the fields and joins the latter part of the 5k route back into Deddington.

This route has been chosen as it is almost entirely off-road and takes you through some of the scenic farmland that surrounds Deddington over some challenging terrain.

Please be aware that you will be running across the land of working farms and you may need to give way to farm traffic.

Make sure that you keep to the designated route at all times and do not deviate from the bridleways and footpaths. Please do not run on the crops.
