Delamere Forest Night Runner, organised by findarace.com, is set to kick off on Saturday 28th October 2017 in the picturesque location of Northwich, Cheshire West and Chester. This exciting event marks the beginning of the Petzl Night Trail Running Race Series, offering participants a thrilling 10k course that weaves through the stunning Delamere Forest. The course features three loops, including challenging elements such as Blakemere Moss and Pale Heights, providing runners with a mix of gravel and trail paths that may be wet and muddy. With only one significant hill towards the end, the course is both challenging and rewarding, promising to test even the most seasoned runners. Organiser's Description
Round 1 of the Petzl Night Trail Running Race Series takes place at Delamere Forest. The 10k course consists of three loops which encompass Blakemere Moss, the notorious nettle warrior, then up Pale Heights before dropping back down to the finish. The course is a mixture of gravel and trail path, and can be wet and muddy. It's relatively flat with only one significant hill at the end, but, don't expect it to be too easy, it is challenging and rolling and tough enough to test any runner. There is also a 1km Trail Kids night time event to get the young ones involved. Fancy dress is actively encouraged and the theme for Delamere is 'Spooky Halloween'.
