Really good race, a tough but doable route, useful goodybag and well signposted and organised. Very nice to have the bonus of the cafe at Beechenhurst to recover in too!

We arrived at the car park at 8:30 and were surprised there was only 30 or so cars parked up. Out of the car and a couple approached us and said 'So you didn't get the email either?' Apparently there was an email sent out the previous evening to say the start time had moved from 9am to 10:30am due to the recent storm and the course needed to be checked. We along with dozens of other runners had to leave as a 10:30am run wasn't possible due to commitments later in the day. Very unhappy to be £50 out of pocket, a wasted 2 hour return trip and no run. Shame on the organisers for leaving it so late in the day to notify people, that is if you actually got the email. I won't be entering a run organised by the Forest runners again.
