Organiser's Description

The Funchal Marathon is a sporting event of an international nature which takes place annually in the city of Funchal and that brings together athletes from many countries, in a trend more pronounced in leisure and recreation not forgetting of course the competitive part.

The previous editions of the Funchal Marathon was a success and the Madeira Athletics Association, advances now with preparations for the new edition that will be held in January.

The Madeira Athletics Association (AARAM) promotes this major international sporting event. This sports event consists of three main races, the Funchal Marathon (42.195,00 meters), the Funchal Half Marathon (21.097,50 meters) and the Mini marathon (5.900 meters). This race will once again be run on a flat course, almost entirely on a closed, attractively landscaped circuit, offering the perfect setting for healthy competition between athletes from different nationalities.Do not hesitate. Come meet the Pearl of the Atlantic running the marathon of Funchal, in afestive environment and fun.Discover and enjoy the Madeira Island through the race.
