Organiser's Description

Flying Gazelle Bournemouth (10k and Half Marathon). Two weeks to run either route, or both. Run anytime of day within the two week window.

This 10k race is an out and back route, starting and finishing at the Fisherman’s Walk cliff top entrance in Southbourne, Bournemouth. The course takes you down the zig zag onto the promenade to run the flat stretch towards Hengistbury Head, which you then run around and up to the top to take in all the views. The views are quite something. The rest of the course is downhill back to Fisherman’s Walk... well there will be that lovely climb up the zig zag to the finish line. The half marathon includes additional promenade segments, along with exploring wooded areas West of Bournemouth Pier.

Distance: 10km (6.2miles) or Half Marathon (13.2 miles)
Elevation: Majority flat, with a couple of steep climbs
Terrain: Road, paved

Lots of free parking at the race start.

Full GPX file, map, and gallery of route will be sent to you prior to the event. You do not need any self-navigation/map reading skills to run this route. We develop the courses so they are easy to follow just by looking at the map before you actually run it.
