Organiser's Description

The Great Glen Ultra is one of Scotland’s toughest running challenges. Starting at 1am from Neptune’s Staircase outside Fort William, the route follows a series of glens along a geological fault-line to Inverness. You’ll run through some of the most stunning scenery that Scotland has to offer, whether down at the side of lochs and rivers, or climbing up through forests to the top of the hills which make the dramatic and vast glens. Runners then have 22 hours to cover the 71 miles to Inverness where the race will finish at Inverness Athletics Stadium.
