Join us for the exhilarating Harting Multi-terrain '10' on Sunday, August 3, 2025, hosted by the dedicated volunteers of Liss Runners. This challenging 10-mile race winds through the stunning landscapes of the South Downs National Park, featuring private lanes, gravel tracks, bridleways, and footpaths that will test your endurance while treating you to breathtaking views. With mile markers and two water stations along the course, you'll feel supported every step of the way.

The event promises a vibrant atmosphere, especially at the cricket ground post-race, where participants can unwind and enjoy delicious homemade cakes, teas, and cold drinks. Plus, every finisher will receive a unique medal, and you could win one of two pairs of Hoka trainers in our spot prize draw! Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers, as well as for various veterans' categories. Families are encouraged to join in the fun with a free kids' fun run for ages 4 to 14, ensuring that this event is a wonderful day out for everyone. Organiser's Description

A friendly event staged by Liss Runners volunteers for the benefit of the running community.  It’s a tough course in beautiful surroundings and a lovely atmosphere at the cricket ground after the race.

Permit:  Race organised under England Athletics permit number 29655 issued by Run Events. 

Course Information: A challenging 10-mile multi-terrain race over private lanes, gravel tracks, bridleways and footpaths in the beautiful countryside of the South Downs National Park.

There will be mile markers and two water stations on the course.

Donations: 50% of money raised will go to local hospice-at-home charity, The Rosemary Foundation.

 

Prizes

A unique Medal will be handed out to all competitors at the finish line.

Spot prizes: Every finisher will have a chance to win one of two pairs of Hoka trainers, kindly donated by our race sponsors.

Trophies/cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories:-

- 1st to 3rd Male and Female
- 1st Male and Female in each vets category V40, V50, V60 & V70

Venue Facilities

- Free parking on the sports field at race HQ.
- Portable loos and toilets in the Pavillion.
- Supervised storage for bags and belongings (Please leave valuables at home as Liss Runners cannot be responsible for lost property).
- Free pre-race physio consultation and post-race massage by event sponsor, Body & Mind (first come-first serve basis).
- Teas, cold drinks and an amazing selection of home-made cakes will be served from the Pavilion.
- Beautiful setting to relax, chat with other participants and enjoy the sunshine after the race.

Kids fun run: A free kids fun run will be organised on the sports field whilst the main race is taking place, for ages 4 to 14 years, with medals for all participants. 

 

Restrictions:  You must be at least 18 years old on the day to take part in the main race.  No running with dogs, buggies or headphones.

 

Time limit. To allow the course to be cleared and the presentations to be wrapped up in a timely manner, entrants should be capable of completing the ten mile course in a maximum of two hours 15 minutes.  Runners behind schedule at the 2nd water station (6.5 miles) may be asked to withdraw and be taken back to the finish by car.

 

Race numbers will distributed on the day at the registration desk, open from 0845.

 

Refunds & Transfers:  Entry fees are non-refundable, but you can transfer your entry up to midnight on the Friday before the event via the link on your booking confirmation.
