Event summary

Trail-Run Explorers is hosting the Hastings 10.5 Miles Guided Trail Run on Sunday 11th August 2024 in Hastings, East Sussex. This event is perfect for both experienced trail runners and beginners looking to explore the beautiful trails of Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve. The route includes ancient gill woodland, heathlands, and stunning cliff top views, with a total ascent of around 1800ft. Although not a race, participants will have the opportunity to run with like-minded individuals, share trail stories, and enjoy the scenic challenge together. Good trail shoes are recommended for the potentially muddy terrain. The event starts at 9:15 am at Barley Lane Car Park and is a loop that may include some pavement sections to connect the trails. Join Trail-Run Explorers for a day of trail running, camaraderie, and outdoor adventure in the picturesque setting of Hastings.

About
This event is for everyone who wants to trail run whether you have run trails before or not.


This guided trail run takes on a beautiful route in Hastings, we start off at Barley Lane Car Park and enter straight into Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve, running through ancient gill woodland, crossing heathlands and taking in the views from the cliff tops.


The total ascent of this run is around 1800ft, but when it's muddy this is a really challenging route, good trail shoes with decent sized lugs are advised, this run is a loop and we do travel a little distances where needed on pavement to join the trails together.


This is NOT a race, but a chance to run with other like minded people, chat and share trail stories, take pictures and really enjoy the day out.

Please remember this is a social event designed to bring people together where you'll run as a group. There'll be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the views, take pictures and to share trail running tips with each other.
After the run, some people look for a nice place to have coffee and cake.
