The Selkie Henley Classic, organised by Henley Swim, is set to take place on Sunday 30th June 2019 in Henley-on-Thames. This unique event offers participants the chance to swim a challenging 2.1k upstream River Thames course over the Henley Royal Regatta course at dawn, just before the start of the Regatta. The event is a celebration of mid-summer and provides swimmers with the opportunity to experience one of the most famous and beautiful stretches of open water in the world. With all swimmers out of the water by 6.30am, participants can enjoy breakfast and be home before the rest of their household wakes up. Organiser's Description

A 2.1k upstream River Thames swim, held over the Henley Royal Regatta course very early on the Sunday morning before the Wednesday start of the Regatta. This event is a celebration of mid-summer. It provides a unique opportunity to swim one of the most famous and beautiful stretches of open water in the World, at the most stunning time of the day - dawn.

Swimmers return year-after-year for this slightly bonkers event, and with everyone out of the water by 6.30am you can still have breakfast and be home by the time the rest of your household is waking up! Try the Classic at least once, and chances are you'll be hooked.
