Course Details

Swim
The two-loop 2.4 mile (3.8 km) swim course starts at the famous North Beach in the seaside town of Tenby. Crazy crowds along the long run up the "zig zag" stairs and into transition will make this a once in a lifetime experience for any athlete.

Avg. Water Temp
63° F / 17° C

Bike
The two-loop 112 mile (180.2 km) bike course takes athletes through the scenic countryside of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Don't get too distracted by the numerous castles and iconic landmarks – home to one of Harry Potter's movies!

Run
The four-loop 26.2 mile (42.2 km) run course is an "you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it" kind of experience. The medieval town walls and picturesque beachfront are lined with tens of thousands of spectators that will push you all the way to the finish line.

How to Get There

Tenby is well connected by road and by rail, and if you’re making your own way to see us you’ll find that we’re well signposted and easy to get to.

By road
If you’re coming to Tenby from the east, the M4 will make up the majority of your route until you hit the A48 just passed Llanelli. From there you’ll pass through our largest neighbouring town, Carmarthen, where you’ll pick up the A40. Tenby is clearly signposted from this point.

From the midlands, you may find the Heads of the Valley road a more attractive route than the motorway. Head for the A438 which can be joined near Hereford until you reach the A40 at Brecon. From here follow the same road until you reach Carmarthen, then follow the signs for Tenby.
Tenby has a multi-storey car park which is located in the centre of town. If you have a sat-nav, the postcode SA70 7LS should bring you to its entrance

By train
Tenby has its own train station which is just a short walk from town. You’ll find that most trains will require you to change at Swansea (some at Bristol too), but don’t panic when your Swansea train leaves the station backwards (many a traveller has been confused by this!). Expect a journey from London, Birmingham or Manchester to take between five or six hours.

By air
The closest airport to Tenby is Cardiff, around 100 miles away. The other option is Bristol airport around 135 miles away.
