This is truly something that you have to see for yourself – the sight at the start line as more than 6,000 dashing Santas stand ready to race through the City centre is something else! Wherever you look there are Santas, and the atmosphere builds to the sound of drums, as runners approach the finish line. This 5k is the kick start to Christmas and nobody does it better than Liverpool! This crazy event has gone from strength to strength, with people coming into the city from far and wide - just to take part. Also 1k mini dash.
I love this event. Really well organised event. The organisation is brilliant and everyone is there to have a good time. The course is now more novice-friendly, with fewer hilly bits now the flyover has gone. You still get fantastic views of the massed santas though, especially as you go around the dock.
Perfect weather this year too. Couldn't fault it. Fabulous breakfast at Shiraz in Williamson Square afterwards. What more could you want? Back next year definitely!
