This was my perfect first marathon. The organisers were brilliant and welcoming. Everyone there was friendly and encouraging of each other and the supporters cheered everyone on. I also loved the scenary! There were some tight spots to pass fellow runners and walkers, however the route was very well planned and signposted. Other runners were all respectful of one another and made space for each other-brilliant vibes all around. Well done, Hermes Running club and thank you for a fantastic day!

The race was very well organised. A smaller event that was more personalised than many of the larger, corporate events. Scenery was very beautiful, drinks points at suitable intervals. The only reason it did not get a five star is that the course had parts to it where the paths were very narrow and you had to stop to allow other runners through which was not ideal - I accept that you cannot have lots of space all the time but it was a bit challenging on the day but overall I would say an event that other runners should attend 😊

A lovely marathon along the Windsor Thames path. It's flat, but can be quite hard going, particularly towards the end of the race! Worth a go.
