Magna Carta Summer

Sat 9th May 2026

A smiling runner wearing a red headband and race bib 418 raises her arms in celebration while crossing a finish line outdoors, with trees and people in the background. A serene river flows alongside a grassy path that winds through a lush, green landscape. Trees densely cover the hills in the distance, atop which a large house is nestled, overlooking the tranquil waters below. A smiling woman with a camera leans on a man wearing a race bib and medal. She holds a colorful sign with an illustrated runner and the word "Taiwan" in a park setting.

This was my perfect first marathon. The organisers were brilliant and welcoming. Everyone there was friendly and encouraging of each other and the supporters cheered everyone on. I also loved the scenary! There were some tight spots to pass fellow runners and walkers, however the route was very well planned and signposted. Other runners were all respectful of one another and made space for each other-brilliant vibes all around. Well done, Hermes Running club and thank you for a fantastic day!

The race was very well organised. A smaller event that was more personalised than many of the larger, corporate events. Scenery was very beautiful, drinks points at suitable intervals. The only reason it did not get a five star is that the course had parts to it where the paths were very narrow and you had to stop to allow other runners through which was not ideal - I accept that you cannot have lots of space all the time but it was a bit challenging on the day but overall I would say an event that other runners should attend 😊

A lovely marathon along the Windsor Thames path. It's flat, but can be quite hard going, particularly towards the end of the race! Worth a go.
