Organiser's Description

Introducing The New Forest Hiking Event, starting from Roundhill Campsite.

This amazing hiking adventure takes place in the heart of the New Forest National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route follows wide, hard-packed gravel pathways and weaves through magnificent forests, where you'll encounter the iconic New Forest ponies, as well as horses, donkeys, and deer roaming freely and grazing along the trails.

The New Forest has been voted the best National Park in Europe and 10th in the world—ranked higher than the Grand Canyon!

The well-maintained trails are solid underfoot, making them perfect for hiking in any weather and ideal for late-season conditions.

The route is slightly undulating and relatively flat, with only a 183m elevation gain over the full half marathon route. It's easy to follow and flows seamlessly, guiding you through ancient woodlands and beautiful heathlands.

What better place to experience hiking? Regardless of experience or ability, we actively encourage new participants to our events, and we offer two route distances to choose from.

At the finish line, you will receive a well-deserved high-quality metal medal, finisher's gift, and a refreshing drink to celebrate your accomplishment!
