race info

Technical stuff - This race is staged under UKA Rules and we will have medical cover provided. The accuracy of the course measurement has been certified by a UKA approved course measurer.

Safety - Headphones: In the interests of everyone's safety, please don’t use in the ear headphones. Runners can be lapped by the lead runners in the half marathon overtaking from behind running faster than you. We therefore need our runners to be able to hear our marshal’s safety instructions as the lead runners and the escorts approach. You will not be able to hear them if you are using in the ear headphones. Anyone using in the ear headphones during the event will be disqualified. Only bone-conducting headphones that work from outside the ear are approved by UKA. It’s really important that you hear what’s going on around you.

Facilities – There will be Baggage and Changing tents, and a refreshment area. A massage team from South Devon College will also be on hand to treat you after the race. Toilet facilities will be available at locations on the seafront, but regret that there are no showers so how about a nice dip in the sea to revive you?

The start and finish

Will be on the Eastern Esplanade near the Pier (///fingernails.sadly.shiny), please line up in accordance with your estimated finishing time. Please be honest with yourself when estimating your finishing time - if you line up too far forward you will get in the way of those who have been more realistic, particularly during the first few miles.

The 10k will start at 9:04am separately on Paignton Green (///loans.shed.empire) shortly after the half marathon has started and the Torbay 10k will have a manage merger with the half marathon on the Esplanade.

On the final return to Paignton Green keep left past the Pier to the finish line, you will then receive your race tee shirt and medal.
