Always a pleasure to run in Paris. It was my 4th time, but the first after a break of 4 years. They had clearly taken on board feedback from previous years and despite increasing the number of entries, I found it entirely manageable as they planned the staggered starts really well, and the route had changed to avoid the worst bottlenecks. The best thing was the number of toilets available on the course - MUCH better. The only downsides were that some of the refreshment stations were running very low by the time I passed through them, and the photos were disappointing - no landmarks in the background so I could have been running anywhere. Obviously it was very sad to know we were the last to run past the Notre Dame before the fire. However, I can't help myself, I have already registered for next year, and the breakfast run on the Saturday which I highly recommend - two opportunities to run round Paris in one weekend, and 2 extra t shirts!!
